Graduation party website template

A graduation party page for the open house crowd.

Graduation season means overlapping parties, relatives in town for one weekend, and guests who drop in for an hour. A website that separates the ceremony from the party, and says when to come and go, saves everyone a lot of guessing.

Planning guide

What to include on a graduation party website.

  • The graduate and the achievement

Name, school, and class year or degree. A line about what comes next (college, a first job, a gap year) gives guests a conversation starter.

  • Ceremony versus party

Make it clear whether guests are invited to the ceremony or only the party. Ceremony tickets are often limited.

  • Open house hours

Many graduation parties are come-and-go. Give a window, like 2 to 6 PM, so guests can visit several parties in one day.

  • Parking and directions

Graduation weekend means crowded streets. Point to overflow parking or suggest carpooling.

  • Cards and gifts

Say whether there will be a card box, or that a note of advice for the graduate is welcome.

Sample schedule

How the day could run.

For open houses, the important times are the window and the one moment you want everyone present for, like a toast.

  2. 2:00 PM

RSVP questions

Ask only what helps you plan.

The RSVP form has built-in fields for attendance, party size, guest names, email, phone, and meal preference, plus a free-text note. For anything else, ask in the RSVP description and guests answer in the note.

  • Will you stop by?

Even a rough count helps you order enough food.

  • How many are coming?

Families with younger kids often come together.

Wording tips

Say it clearly, and kindly.

  • Celebrate the person, not only the diploma.

Four years, two jobs, one very proud family. Join us in celebrating Ava.
  • Make drop-in hours explicit so guests do not worry about arriving late.

Stop by any time between 2 and 6 PM.
  • If the ceremony is ticketed, say so up front to avoid awkward asks.

  • Thank guests who traveled.

To everyone who drove in from Ohio: thank you. The guest room is ready.

Questions, answered

Graduation party website FAQ.

When should I send graduation party invitations?

Three to four weeks before the party. In busy graduation weekends, earlier is better so guests can plan around other parties.

Can guests RSVP if they are only dropping by?

Yes. A quick yes and party size takes under a minute and needs no account.

Can I add photos of the graduate?

Yes. You can upload photos when you start your event, then refine the page in plain language.

Should we host a joint graduation party?

Joint parties with friends from the same class are common and save money. List every graduate's name on the page, agree on costs in advance, and make the open house window longer so guests can spend time with each family.
